Has anybody tried these .... ?

I'm intrigued by these sleeves & am considering purchasing as I can see how useful they could be under shift dresses etc without adding further bulk.

These are called Armery by Mary Portas & Charnos. They come in a few colours & lace.

Has anybody tried them or something similar? Are they worth trying?

I haven't tried them, but even though you don't want to add bulk, I feel like it would be more versatile to just buy some long sleeved tees. You can get some very thin ones somewhere like H&M that don't add too much bulk at all!

I had one pair and wore it all the time with sheaths. Mine was pale dusty pink and I even layered it under black short sleeved knit tees. Unfortunately they're a little worn out now. But to me , very useful.

I haven't tried them on, but I like the effect under the black tank top. I would love to see it with sheath dresses.

Those are cool. I have a L.A.M.B. sweater that's basically sleeves and shoulders. It's a very handy sweater.

This looks great and I've tried something similar that acted like sleeves only.

What would bother me with this, however, whether the underarms would eventually be exposed if you wear it with the dress? E.g. photo 2 above, that look does not appeal to me personally.

Interesting! I think it would be nice to layer *under* a sheath, to add a long sleeved effect without mussing up the neckline of the dress.

Yes, but what about the underarms peaking out there under a sheat??? Also no bulk but what keeps the sleeves on the shoulders nto falling down when mouving a bit??

I have to say, I'm not liking the underarm bit showing. They didn't look like that when Mary Portas had them on her TV programme!

Hmmm, thanks for this - I hadn't considered the gap at the underarm & now it's all I can focus on! I think I'll give these a miss & try something else.
