Hello Fabbers, Will you join me with spreading some positive vibes? You all must know the drill by now...we share good news, happy times and gratitudes to help flex our positive thinking muscles.

So, firstly, I'm really glad that I'm now over my cold and I'm glad that I had the last of my dental appointments for getting a new crown put on one of my teeth. I've got my nice smile back now

Lately, I've been having a lot of fun getting to know sewists on Instagram, which leads me to a major happy moment this week of meeting forum member Jane for a lovely day out in Birmingham at a sewists get-together. I saw a few ladies from Instagram that I had connected with too. Jane and I chatted non stop! It was so nice to see you Jane...thanks for coming!

Other good news...my son is doing well at school and has also become a prefect. He's happy with the extra responsibility that it brings.

I'm thankful for my hubby getting gardening done while I was out enjoying myself yesterday and I'm thankful for a nice big pile of work bought to me today from one of my loyal clients.

And finally, I really enjoyed a lovely curry take away that meant no cooking when I got back home tired last night...yum!

Glad you are feeling better Diane. Your trip to meet the other sewers sounds like so much fun. I also had to have a crown on a tooth. I have been so fortunate with my teeth but I broke a tooth so badly I needed a crown. I am a nervous patient but it really wasn't so bad.
We had a lovely get together with some friends last week. DH played in a band way back and now he gets together with his band every month. We all love seeing each other.

So Saturday I did parkrun with the younger two girls, had lunch out with old friends and our families. First GF dim sum ever! Then treated/ subjected my family to my cooking experiment of minted pea mousse, followed by Settlers. So nice to have a free day off for once.

Then at 11pm the ceiling in our family roon and kitchen fell in as mentioned in my off topic thread. Way to end the day!!
However the silver lining has been watching DD8 voluntarily helping, and the prompt to get rid of some stuff I probably should have already culled like my collection of paper and plastic bags and orphan plastic containers and lids. Once covered in dust they were less appealling!

Had lunch with a friend today and got caught up. It was lovely.
She actually used to babysit my sons, and it is nice to have moved from that role to friends.

My DS1 and his GF have been here this weekend.

My SIL gifted us a lucite serving cart of hers that I'd admired for years.

DH and DS1 moved the item that used to live in the same spot to the garage. 2 inexpensive pieces from the living room, and 2 from the garage were then moved out to the curb, and people have taken all 4. It's lovely how the new arrangement has opened up the living room, and the garage.

Well, Anne, your Saturday did start off lovely...the food sounds lovely after a run. I'm so glad nobody was hurt when your ceiling fell...I guess having a declutter was an added but unexpected bonus.

Ooh, lots to enjoy and be thankful for Barbara Diane... Family visits are always lovely and how nice to have become good friends with your babysitter. Funny how getting one new item can spark off a change around and a refresh in the house. Bet it feels good.

I'm doing pretty good myself. I am back to a regular job (though it's work from home) and no longer a freelancer. Yay to regular pay checks! It's been fun learning about a new business and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) --- which is my role.

Emma & Xena bring constant joy to my everyday life, as does my amazing Hubby, who is always always so wonderful & supportive.

I also joined a Zumba class thrice a week and thoroughly enjoy the dance based workouts. I'm also making new friends And I enjoy long evening walks with one of these friends...so my health & fitness are right on track too!

All in all, life is GOOD right now Sharing two cute pictures of lil' Emma

I am a proud mummy this week, having watched my daughter and her friends in a Dance Festival. I never thought I'd be a "Dance Mom" but I'm getting pretty slick at stage make up!
