Hi all! It's good to be back. I missed YLF while I was away :). I hope you managed to file away lots of blessings, gratitudes and happy times to share them here so we can get back to spreading some good vibes around.

As a lot of you already know, I've been off in Greece for two weeks, and yup, you guessed it, I'm going to bore you silly with all the details here

So, lets start with the weather... two solid weeks of wall to wall sunshine and around 31degrees, lovely. We stayed on the island of Zakynthos in a resort called Tsilivi, which is perfect for families and couples. Me, DH and DS swam in the clear blue sea every day. I've managed to perfect my breast stroke technique and although I still avoid deep water, I'm not a bad swimmer now.

The food we ate was gorgeous (my expanded waistline will attest to that :(). Some dishes I tried were : Spetsofai, a lovely spicy main course made with village sausauge, onions, pepper, courgettes, tomatoes and herbs. I also ate a delicious stew called Chicken Stamna, that had tender chicken pieces and baby shallots in it. Aubergines baked in the oven were also yummy. I also had a delicious dessert called Frigania (pronounced with a hard 'g') It was a syrup soaked sponge type base with a set vanilla custard top and whipped cream, sprinkles and raspberry sauce... mmmmm.

We were invited to a barbeque at our local pool bar on one of the evenings and were treated to Souvlaki, Tsatziki, salad, and garlic bread all served up by our gracious hosts Yanni and Ava. Have a look at the outrageous and hilarious apron Yanni wore in picture #4 below!!

August 24th was the day of the festival of Agios Dionisios (St Dennis) and we booked an evening trip to see the celebrations. You can read a little about the saint here : http://www.explore-zakynthos.c.....s_town.htm The remains of St Dennis are paraded through the town in a small glass case and people travel from all over Zakynthos and the mainland to pay their respects. The town was absolutely packed and the procession went on for a long time through all the streets, eventually coming back to the church of Dionisios, which we looked around. The inside of the church was beautiful and I've popped a few photos below. The whole evening was finished off with a huge firework display over the beautiful harbour. It was spectacular.

I think perhaps I'd better end now before you all fall asleep!

So, tomorrow, it's a huge grocery shop for me and then back to work on Tuesday, when DS goes back to school. Thankfully, we have some nice weather forecast to carry on a bit of a holiday feeling

Over to you now, to share your 'moments'. Add photos and links of you wish.
