Halogen seamed skirt in orange

Okay, it is really bothering me that this skirt does not fit me properly because the colors are getting better and better. I am totally lusting after this shade of orange. Where can I get some hips and a smaller waist?!

I agree - it's like they are putting out different colors to see if I'll snap.

I'm relieved to know that skirt wouldn't fit me. LOL I have about as much waist as you do. It's just as well since it has to be dry cleaned, one thing I'm determined to avoid.

I read on the discussion section that people have washed it in cold water successfully. But yes, it is not all that practical unless you sit in an office all day - which I do.

I may bite on the orange and figure out if it can be tailored... *gritting teeth* Can you imagine it with leopard shoes?!

I wonder why this skirt works for me but not you... I have a waist, it is just huge. I am an apple petite and I feel like the skirt makes me look like I have the shape that I wish I had in real life.

Does anybody know how it will fit a pear shape?
Thinking this might be a potential purchase after weight loss and SYC. Haven't had much luck with pencil skirts in the past though.

I know exactly what you mean Una - they don't fit me right either - and the colors are so fun! Its probably good that it doesn't fit me, because I would have a hard time not buying one in every color!

Una! Orange and leopard. So fun! Or orange and turquoise. Yummy. There is a color here for any palette, that's for sure. I like the teal, but would also like to stick with skirts that are a bit more fitted. J. Crew pencils seems to work well for non curvy gals, but the quality has been a bit iffy.

Ok ladies- there is an answer. I got the skirt last year and if you pay full price Nordstrom will alter it to fit you just right. I have no hips and I had mine taken in on the sides and made in to more of a pencil. I also had the hem let down. Does anyone else know about free alterations. That skirt can fit all types of bodies- give it a try!!

Rita, I don't know what the difference is. I love you in your fever pink skirt. You definitely don't have a huge waist, though! Maybe it does actually fit me and I'm just not used to seeing myself in a pencil skirt. I do own one that I got last year for under $30 and had it hemmed - I will post it for comments...

Yes, the Pokemon obsession has begun. I have already been corrected on the pronunciation (Poke-UH-mon, not Poke-EE-mon, MOM!) and lectured on the value of Level Xs. Gah!

I keep trying it on but it never looks right on me either, and you would think that it would! It just fits kind of bulky on me for some reason! I don't think alterations would help unfortunately. Colors are so pretty though!

Honestly, ladies, it's a mixed blessing having this skirt fit one to a tee. I am compelled to collect all the colors -- I'm up to six now and waiting for orange to show up in petite sizes!!
