About your wardrobe and personal style

Haircut

Over a month ago I asked you all to help me find a way to manage my unruly hair.

I decided to follow Angie's (and others') advice and told my stylist exactly what Taylor had said in her reply when trying to describe the style I wanted.

Here are the results:

Not very "edgy", which is what Taylor had suggested!

What do you think? And how should I style it from now on?

love love love it!! Your eyes look so gorgeous and dramatic now. It really is cute on you! I've always loved these little pixie-ish cuts, but know that I could never pull it off. You look wonderful!!!

You have the most amazing bone structure, you look like a European model to me.

I LOVE your cut...do you have a pomade of sorts to *funk* it up a bit?? This should be quite fun for you...it need not lay flat. The details of this cut may be hidden without a little product for texture:) a small amount in your palm...haircuts literally come alive!!

FABULOUS! I *love* your super short hair! Slap in the goo and Bobs your uncle.

Your big Bambi brown eyes are SO beautiful. WOW.

Stunning! You can look at old photos of Audrey Hepburn, Natalie Portman and Mia Farrow to get inspired about how to style a pixie cut. A friend with a pixie cut of her own swears by her narrow straightening iron; said it helped her immensely. Can't wait to see more photos in the months to come of your lovely coif...

De, I think Mac and I are thinking alone the same lines because I instantly thought of Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina when I saw how well your new haircut shows off your face. You are beautiful!

I haven't had my hair quite as short as yours, but I came close, and would echo Taylor's suggestion to play with product. When my hair was at its shortest, I had a lot of fun creating a lot of chunky/piecey texture with root lifter spray, hair wax, or pomade. Sometimes I would literally just rub product between my palms, ruffle my hair at random with my fingers, and I'd be ready to go.

Thank you all for your comments. I'm blushing.

I'm glad this cut worked out. Especially since it only cost me... 10 euros! I'll gladly pay that every 4 weeks! I had been wanting to do something like this for ages, but never really had the courage to until I joined the YLF community. So thank you all for encouraging me to change my hairstyle. :)

I've never used pomade. Actually, I've never even seen the product. I'll have to go out and search for it...

Oh wow, it looks fabulous! Product you should look at for short hair is anything from spray-in gel, molding clay, wax or proper gel. I prefer spray-in gel (sprayed into wet hair) for most days and molding clay and wax for nights out.

Smashing! You look terrific De, the haircut really brings out your beautiful features. Have fun with styling!

When I had a pixie, I didn't play around with texture nearly enough. I'm kind of wistful about that.
