Hair style - keep or change?

I'm getting my hair cut on Wednesday evening - and I'm terribly undecided about what to do. I'm inclined to keep the style similar to what I have, but I wanted to see what you all thought.

I'm used to spending time on my hair; I'll usually blow-dry it and wear it loose and wavy. It is fairly thick and keeps consistent wave whether it is short or long. I'm not too interested in coloring it right now because of cost.

This is the longest my hair has been in three years! Ideally I'd like it to be a few inches longer before I chop it off (and perhaps go to a pixie cut), but since I'm going through a job search, perhaps a change would be good! Thanks for any input!

LE, your hair is gorgeous! I like it how it is, especially in the photo where it is down, all loose and wavy. I normally prefer shorter hair on women but yours is stunning the way it is- I vote for a good healthy trim and leave it at that.

On the side of wanting a change for interviews, I totally understand that. A new cut can really boost your confidence, which is obviously what you want when looking for a job. I would say that right now your hair is "safer" than a pixie cut might be, for some employers? I'm not sure what kind of job you'll be looking for, but right now your hair is flattering and non-offensive, but something a bit edgier like a pixie might not be as all-around pleasing to so many people, if that makes sense. (I am only guessing here, and not speaking from personal preference- I LOVE pixie cuts!)

You are young and beautiful, with great hair, no rush to hurry and cut it all off...plenty of time for that. Most likely you would feel uncomfortable with super short hair for a little bit...you need confidence for the interview...wait until you land a job for any *drastic* change.

It looks pretty pulled back, you may want to wear it up or back for an interview, it looks neat and professional :)

You have GORGEOUS hair. Honestly, I think women with hair as healthy and pretty as yours should keep it long, but that is mainly a selfish statement: I am just really envious of anyone who can have long hair because I can't (at least not without it getting horribly messy and tangled).

Of course you don't have to keep it that way forever, but while you're young and your hair is in such great condition, I don't really see any benefit to cutting it off unless you feel it is more suited to your personality, or long hair takes more maintenance than you want to put in. Taylor also made a good point about doing something so drastic before an interview, when you really need confidence. Ele's point is good too. I love pixie cuts and short hair, but this one is definitely a crowd pleaser. You could always cut it later, after you get the job you're after ;)

You also have the benefit of versatility now. If you are going to put your hair up, I'd rather see it in a more deliberate, sleek style. It doesn't have to be a fancy updo or anything like that. But I think to pull your hair in an ordinary ponytail is a waste of your pretty long hair.

You have beautiful hair, LE. It’s definitely one of your best features. Very eye-catching and pretty. I’m all for people having long hairstyles if they have the right hair (which you absolutely do), and they keep it down most of the time. I had mentioned on Sarah’s thread that if you’re in the position of tying your long hair back all the time, you should reconsider your long hair style. Most women in Israel have REALLY long hair and they keep it down most of the time. It’s quite impressive.

Back to your hair. I 100% vote to keep it long, add more layers and trim the length. It’s your look :0)

You have lovely hair!
I like it long and loose! It's lovely!

*blush* Thank you for the compliments! I'll keep the length and get a good trim with more layers.

Maya, I think you're right about pulling it back into something more deliberate than a pony. I'll search around for something to try. Thanks for the suggestion!

I vote for keeping it just the way it is. I am waiting (anxiously and patiently) for my hair to get back to that length as I miss it. Your hair is beautful, nice and wavy - don't cut it.
