Finding and understanding your body type

Greekgoddess... my world

Hi, I have just joined this great site. I seem to be having a few problems with uploading my avatar and photo, but I will keep trying.

I am 54 years old and five feet four inches tall. My weight varies between 125 and 105 lbs depending on whether I am nearing a contest or not, as I am a female bodybuilder. I compete in the over 50's womens physique classes in natural contests. I returned to bodybuilding two years ago, after having twenty three years off! I used to compete in the nineteen eighties until life got in the way of training.

I have lost over seventy pounds in weight and five dress sizes due to the training and diet. I now have to eat six small meals a day to keep my weight stable.I train with heavy weights, cardio, powerwalking and kickboxing classes.

I love fashion and always have done. There is no feeling as good as getting dressed to go out and knowing you look a million dollars. I am always on a tight budget, very tight, so make the most of sales, used clothes shops, even friends who offer goodies to me. I sold all my old clothes that were too big at car boot sales so I could buy a new wardrobe.

I used to dress like a middle aged frump, but now I dress with style. I love clothes that show off my new shape to its best advantage. i like clothes with an edge, and ones that I know no one else will be wearing to the same party. I am looking forward to endless discussions and fun on this site

Welcome!

What an exciting life! Very demanding yet so rewarding I'm sure! I have never been a bodybuilder but I do lift and exercise regularly. Before kids I did lift pretty heavy. Still have the crackling knees and frozen shoulder pain, but hope to hit it hard again once my youngest is in school.

I hope you will share some pictures soon. I so admire a strong yet feminine woman! Keep us up to date on your competitions!
