Wondering how I would style it? Is this a shoe I should stay away from because I'm petite? (I don't know why...just in that self-doubting frame of mind)

I don't see why a petite couldn't wear those -- and they are adorable! I looked at a laceless oxford a. Couple of months ago (Boutique 9 maybe?) but decided to hold off. I went back to get them later and they were sold out in my size so I took it as a sign I didn't need them.

I saw them on another blog and was coveting them for a while. Tried them on eventually and they were kind of off somehow, so I saved some money as well!

I'm just so perplexed by what to do with shoes, which shoes to get, avoiding duplication...please offer Shoes 101 for Dummies here!

I think the shoe I tried was a different one -- and it was gray, which I love. I don't know what stopped me, probably the feeling that I shouldn't spend money that day. Yes, I actually have days I think that, but you'd never know it to look at the shopping I've done this year!

I'd personally wear these shoes with dresses and skirts, and also dressy trousers and possibly skinny jeans rolled up to the ankle with trouser socks (I'd have to experiment with that and see how it works).

I love the first pair so much. I have a much cheaper pair of tan oxfords that I like to wear either with rolled up skinny jeans (as mentioned by Ana) or with brown trousers and a dusky rose pink blazer. Both are pretty masculine looks but made feminine with the colours or a soft top underneath

Wow, #1 is soooo beautiful! I've been on the lookout for similar shoes, but I haven't found the perfect ones for the perfect price Probably doesn't exist. As for what to wear them with, my plan is with jeans for totally casual, and with tights and skirts/dresses

Well, I'm off the hook with the Prada (money-wise, that is)--my size is gone! At least from Nordies. They are truly stunning shoes for my taste though. Maybe someplace else stocks them...and I have to stalk them

No reason a petite couldn't wear these (I'm petite and I wear oxfords, and have even worn mine with a midi). I find the second pair looks more masculine than the first, and love that they are laceless. You could wear with dresses/skirts, skinnies (either scrunched or not; I think rolled would give you a very geeky vibe if that's something that appeals to you but I find sans socks keeps things a bit more feminine), straight legs, shorts.. you name it
