So sorry to hear about this -- scary stuff. It reminds me to be thankful for every day with my friends and loved ones -- to take nothing for granted.

I only saw the news this morning, and immediately thought of all you ladies in Canada. Kim and Glory, I'm relieved to hear that you and your families are OK, and I hope Krish is too.

Canada has had more than it's share of tragedy in recent times. So sad for the families involved, and the little boy who has lost his Dad. Sending strength to our Canadian fabbers and their families; the trauma of these events can take a long time to process xoxo.

Glad to hear the grabbers and families ok. ( no word from Krishna though ). My heart breaks for the family of that young soldier and the family of the shooter.

Very sad about the young soldier, very sad. Just crazy.

My heart goes out to all of Canada. I can't believe this happened. So glad our Ottawa fabbers and their loved ones are safe.

Here in Australia all those who would normally wear their military uniforms with pride are now unable to do so in public- so sad!

What an awful situation it was indeed. I was locked in confinement inside a school with frightened 17-18 yr olds that day, but I think we did well in the end. All my thoughts went to the parents of these kids, being myself a mother of an 18 yr old who studies in a different city. Many actually came from different cities themselves, so I let them use the computer and their cells to communicate. My own son sent me worried messages too.

All I can think about is the poor parents and loved ones of the soldier who got killed that day. RIP. Such, such a shame. But also, the parents of the crazy one, who was also shot in the end. Apparently the mother is a regular gov. worker. I cannot begin to imagine their grief. All I can do is pray for them.

I didn't know, Ceit, that we were so close and that you went through this first hand too.
