I told my neighbor that I was decluttering my closets and listing some things on eBay.

She then begged me to list a pair of shoes for her. She'd had them handmade 10 years ago, she never wore them, and they made her feel guilty every time she opened her closet. She told me she didn't want the proceeds of the sale, she just wanted them out of her closet! So I took the shoes and a few other of her rejects.

When I was listing the shoes, I noticed something odd under the tissue paper in the box. I found several bank envelopes with over $500 in cash! Turns out she'd hidden the money before a trip long ago and forgotten the hiding place.

We had a good laugh over it! It really does pay to declutter! (Glad I didn't send the $$ to some eBay buyer. With every pair of shoes you get $500 cash, what a deal!)
