I always assumed that "big boned" was a euphemism for overweight. However, last time I saw my dr. she told me that I had a large frame - big bones. I laughed and told her that I knew I needed to lose a few pounds. She objected and held out her wrist. Despite her weighing more and having a larger body size than I have, her wrists and fingers were TINY. My wrists looked like the Hulk next to hers.

I thought about it and realized that when I was wearing a size 2, I still had a size 6.5 ring finger (it is a 7 now, but more due to osteo-arthritis than weight), and I have always had a 7" wrist. I am not tall, either, nor significantly overweight; just sturdily built I guess! On a related note, I sent back the bracelet I was so excited about, as the "over 7"" included the clasp, apparently, so when clasped it measures barely 7" and is too snug for comfortable wear.

So what about you? Are you "big boned" or do you have a small frame? Are your wrists and/or fingers small or thick? This is entirely independent of weight, by the way, as like I described, a small framed person can weigh more than another individual and yet have smaller fingers and joints.
