Two years ago, NAS had a few amazing Smythe jackets on sale. I bought a basic black, 3/4 sleeve and a herringbone bone. I loved the herringbone, but ended up returning it for financial and for reasons--it ever so slightly pulled in the waist, and I figured that black was more practical. At the time, I didn't realize how difficult it was to find older Smythe models in the second-hand world and reasoned that I could always buy it again if I change my mind.

Well, I wrong. Totally unavailable on all the usual suspect sites. It was the only return that I came to regret, and I've since routinely looked for it in one size larger.

This week, it appeared on eBay in my size. Excellent condition. And, since my arms and shoulders are more developed now than they were two years ago, the larger size is more appropriate. It is a bit loose in the waist, but not enough for me to want to take it in. Excuse the Lulu gear.
