Claire, I just saw this jacket on the AT site.

Check out the price. I think our ON version is actually a whole lot nicer looking. And we paid less than $20. I don't know about you, but my CPW is already close to $1 and it hasn't even been a full season.

Gah! I like our version WAY better Suz! Our buttons are that cool gunmetal silver and there are no flap pockets around the midsection. A few others have this too, like Kellygirl and who was it, NDMom? I only wish qfBrenda had one too!

I'm revising my shopping strategy from "budget only" shopping to "dollar cost averaging", lol! A few expensive (to me) items peppered into the mix will elevate my look a bit, I'm hoping!

Brenda, if I ever see one of these again I will let you know. I wonder what ON does with its overstocks? It's from late last summer; I'll bet some of these are still around for sale somewhere.

Way better! Love that jacket on you, (I think I have the same one, too) love the price tag, too! Do you actually keep track of CPW? Maybe that's something for me to add to my 2012 "to do list"

I don't really keep track, Carole. But sometimes I can do a rough estimation. I'd say I've worn that jacket an average of once per week since I got it in September. And I paid $17 for it. So it's getting down there.

I think keeping strict track would probably be more than my inner math rebel could handle. But since my wardrobe is still quite small it's pretty easy for me to make a decent estimate. And I do find it really interesting to observe what I reach for most often. Sometimes it is an expensive piece, but often not.

A classic jeans jacket beats that AT design (and I like AT jackets, generally). But that one looked strange--and there is no justifying the price tag! As I've said, I often suspect they come up with some ludicrous price just as a basis for declaring 30 or 40% off sales. That said, with some trepidation I've just ordered a jeans jacket from Nordstroms (because hey, free shipping/returns) for $60; it seems a lot, but if it's well-made, I think it will be a fantastic closet staple. Suz, your jacket is gorgeous and really suits you proportionally and in the color. I'm sure you'll get a ton of wear out of it, and find a gazillion ways to style it creatively.
