About your wardrobe and personal style

For all you Sartorialist fans...

A friend forwarded this to me today and I thought it was hilarious:

Love the one for men - "Are you Old, Rich & European?" LOL, so true...

That is hilarious, and sadly so true! I am a fan of the Sartorialist as a photography blog, but not so much fashion. I don't like most of the outfits, and as this little satire suggests, the "real" people he photographs are basically models, or mini-celebrities and people from the fashion industry--so honestly sometimes it just feels phony. If I were tall and slim with a killer figure and a stunning face, and photographed in a beautiful and artistic way, I'm sure I could wear a yarmulke and a hefty bag and still look great. I don't think I have seen a single woman over a size 6 since the day I started reading.

I LOVE it - kind of reminds me of something you'd find in the old Spy magazine. Used to be one of my favorite mags.

Brilliant. My word. Some people have time on their hands.

This is awesome. I like his pictures, find the fashion hit or miss. I do wish he'd stop glamorizing smoking.

That is just priceless!

oh thank you for posting this! That is so funny!!...my favorite part was "stand in the middle of a cobblestone street and wait"...ha ha, brilliant. They must have had a few good laughs putting that together. I am a fan of his shots, and Garance Dore too, the link below the post. It's more about the art for me...the light, the scene, etc., but I do like the fashion too. Before reading the article on her, I didn't know that she and Scott were romantically linked. Ok, too gossipy :)

LOL! I do like the aesthetical aspect of his photos, but they are quite formulaic :)
