Fluevog Fans: are these witchy or funky?

Too much humid weather and I sit on the computer all day. Then I run across shoes like these that I'm suddenly interested in:

Anyone seen them in person? Which red do you think is accurate? Are they funky? or witchy?

I like them! Not witchy to my eye.

That's quite a color difference -- I would email Fluevog and ask how accurate the color is in the photo. The endless photo looks so dark its not even identifiable as red!

Neither is accurate, but the one on the website is closer. They're a sort of rich wine red in real life. (The ones in the second picture look brown on my monitor).

They don't look witchy to me! Maybe witch-slash-cowboy?

I'm a big fan of Fluevogs but not of pointy-toed boots. I don't think they are witchy, though - they have that Fluevog look. I like the darker red better if that's the color.

I wouldn't call them "witchy" nor "funky" but just cool!
Elizabeth should know the color, assuming she has access to a huge Fluevog store in her city.

Janet - that was a good suggestion so I called the Chicago store and they are a bit darkened sort of toward a cranberry.

elisabeth - thanks for your real life take. Have you seen them on feet? What did you think?

Too bad I just saw some pretty great boots at NAS. Of course the NAS boots I'd consider are totally different than these Fluevogs . . . oh what to do, what to do, . . .

Sorry, Sara, I haven't actually seen them on anyone's feet! I haven't tried them on myself, but I've tried on others in that family (usually their sizing is consistent within a shoe family, although between families, it's all over the map), and they fit pretty true to size, with an average width.
