First WIW of 2016

I took inspiration from the blogger Mary Murane. I took my blanket scarf and pinned it with an antique pin. After looking at the pictures I will try to arrange it a little better next time because it is too long. I did enjoy wearing it though but need suggestions to make it better.

I think it looks great. Good color for you, love the use of the pin. Maybe if you pulled the piece that goes over your shoulder a little higher? Otherwise I like it.

Debbie, I love what you have done with your blanket scarf. Prehaps the camera angle makes it look longer than it really is on you.. You look warm and cozy and the colors look great with jeans.
Another suggestion is to turn the top edge over several inches to the inside and style and pin the same way.

It looks very chic and cozy! I love the brooch holding it in place. I think it's the camera angle that makes it look long in this photo. I bet it looked even better in real life, and with movement.

I love the idea! I know...how about grabbing a little of the blanket from about 15" down the front edge and bringing it up to meet the top corner that you have pinned and pin through all layers...you would get a drape fold effect and it would pull the front up higher and give a nice asymmetric look to the hemline. Love he colours of the blanket scarf btw, they really suit you.

This is a brilliant and practical way to style a blanket scarf. I, too, was inspired by Mary's picture, although I haven't tried it yet.
