Descriptions of your daily ensembles

First week (or so) of work

In the first few days at my new job I've been wearing pencil skirts, waistcoats, patterned trousers, boots, and sheath dresses.

It's fun to break out my business casual clothes again, but because I've focused on getting used to new duties, processes, and an early work schedule, I've been falling back on tried & true looks rather than stretching my creativity. I'm hoping I'll get a bit more innovative with color and accessories when I have a bit more time to think about what I wear.

1. Plaid flannel pants
2. Grey sheath dress and tan boots (which you have already seen)
3. Club Monaco microchecks & green top
4. A repeated outfit
5 & 6: Red ponte dress; charcoal trousers and chartreuse top
7. Purple top and grey waistcoat (the second is just from this weekend; not for work.)

Thank you all very much for your kind comments! I am enjoying the chance to dress up a bit more, and when I'm in a pinch about what to wear I find myself going to my photo blog to look for inspiration. Needless to say, prior YLF feedback has been EXTREMELY useful in creating a business wear wardrobe. I haven't been super creative, but I really appreciate knowing that what I'm doing on a daily basis seems to work.

Thanks so much for the congratulations, Fathenry. I just started a new job about a week and a half ago - the hiring process was pretty quick - and I am really thrilled about how good a fit it seems to be.
