Commiserating with everyone else about how hard it is to dress in the heat!

Here's what I wore today - way too sticky and humid for a vest or other layering!! (advance apologies for the wet hair, yes that is how I leave home.)

I love the shorts and top together! That style shirt works really well for your figure. The second outfit is also cute, love the vest and you always look great in red!

I love both outfits, you look very cute and pulled together. I can imagine it getting really hot in the second one though. Red really is your color!

Very nice! The shorts have a great length, perfectly showing off your calves. And that second outfit (from yesterday I guess) is super cute. You rock red and the vest is sweet!

The walking shorts & button down outfit looks great & seems to practical for the hot weather while still looking put together. I can see how the vest outfit - as cute as it is - must have been a little stifling in the heat with all those layers. Love the red ottoman - it looks like it has storage too.

Like the shorts and blouse Tam - though I reckon the blouse with its collar and sleeves would have been too hot on a really hot day - do you have AC at work?

Aw thanks everyone! That is indeed one of the copied vests! I have another in brown with slightly different pockets - minus the flaps. I like them both - I guess I have no real opinion on the pocket issue after all

Luckily most of where I work is ACed and since I work from 7am-7:30pm-ish I usually miss the heat of the day. I do run up and down the stairs a lot though; that's where I've been getting most of my exercise! I wore a dress today, and was so much cooler I have to say! Days like tomorrow where I'm rostered on till 11pm I'll definitely be wearing pants so I can get away with wearing my converse underneath. I need some 12 hours shoes badly! I wish we had those Me-Toos over here!!

I love the blouse in the first outfit - so cute & flattering.

The second outfit is great too, but I can see how the layers would work against you in the heat. I agree with everyone that red is definitely a great color on you.

Hi Angie, Fiji started off great but went kinda pear shaped and didn't end relaxingly at all (more details here)!

They aren't new shoes - they are ones my Mum gave me about 7 years ago because they were too small for her. The right shoe fits me great, but the top of the left shoes digs into the base of my big toe. It's a shame because the shoe is otherwise very comfy! I really need to get some red and black shoes I can wear to work and survive in all day! So far I've had 2 unsuccessful shopping attempts. I think its because stores are in between shoe seasons at the moment.

HannahMichelle I would gladly trade some snow for our sunshine. Tomorrow is meant to hit 44 degrees in Sydney. I'm planning on spending the day at the mall inside AC, although I bet everyone else has the same plan!!
