Thank you all for your very thoughtful replies; I'm sorry if I can't reply to everyone right now, I'm just dashing onto a computer between patients ... it's kind of been a really busy day, trying to adjust to a new hospital, and there's a lot of flooding near where my parents live even though they really minimize it, reading the news reports it's really scary and lots of stuff going on right now!

Diana - I think you've hit it on the mark; I don't really like the lock and loaded kind of a look, and I'll try to find bras that are a bit more wide set. I have been struggling with cup size, but when things stable out, maybe I'll look into the one that you have recommended!

IK - I didn't think that there would be so many changes when it came to working out! I really thought there wasn't too much to it, but now I sort of see all the differences and I guess I have to embrace them or stop working out (haha, won't happen!)

Ceit and Peri - It's easier to talk the talk vs. walk the walk, isn't it? I'll keep it in mind.

Mo - I think the hardest bit is knowing exactly what size I was to being between all sorts of weird sizes and not being able to buy off the rack really scares me. I can do a certain amount of alterations, but I don't want to have to alter everything. I guess it's an argument for having a small wardrobe. I'll keep your numbers in mind.

Jackie - Thank you for sharing your story with me. I suppose we all change eventually, and sink or swim, right?

Angie - It's actually changed my measurements quite a bit, going from a 35 to a 38 or so; which makes me more of an hourglass 38-28-37; like what Ceit had pointed out. I had been buying clothes fitted towards a bust of a 35 or a 36, so all of a sudden it's like nothing fits (even though that's not true, it just pulls more).

I'll continue later, my next patient is here...

Maybe I'm off base here but wasn't it only a few days ago that you posted about getting properly fitted for the right size bra at last? If it's just since then... Could this be a time-of-the-month thing?

I say this because my youngest DD had her prom dress designed and sewed to her exact measurements by her older sister out west. It arrived in the mail the day before prom... and DD could not get it to zip up! After phone consultation with the designer/dressmaker, we went out and bought matching ribbon and packages of hooks-and-eyes, and I spent that evening sewing a tiny row of eyes all along both sides of the zipper, to be laced with the ribbon like a corset.

Next day, put on the dress... it was too loose. Period had started, boobs had gone down a size. Lacing had to be used, although it fit a bit baggy, because the eyes had got in the way of the zipper teeth functioning. (Strapless fitted dress too, so wary of wardrobe malfunctions.) Le sigh. Pics looked great, though.

Wow, what a prom adventure, L'Abeille! Nope, it's probably not a time of the month thing for me, because (probably TMI) but I don't have time of the months ... haha; yay!
