Feedback on fall/guide dog training items, please

OK!! Because Marianna_Cecile rules, I can now show you the final round of purchases for the fall. Many of these were made with my upcoming sojourn in NJ in mind.

One of the main items on my list was a denim jacket or at least something similar, since good jackets are hard enough to come by in my size. I found this one, which is in a sueded cotton material. I rather liked the tactile interest of the pattern, and my friend who shopped with me assured me it looked flattering, versatile and unfussy... But I need your take!

I'm still very much in the market for more casual microchecks and would appreciate any tips

The footwear in the outfit above is a pair of new black booties purchased today from Naturalizer. I figured they'd be a good option for NJ and beyond. Here they are up close:

And finally, a bargain-tastic pair of white jeans ($25 down from $108) with a two-in-one top and my new converse. Can I pull this off? I'm thinking of wearing this with pewter flats as my airport outfit:

Michelle, you are rocking the Cons!! I love that outfit, my favourite. The jacket seems like a nice, basic wardrobe staple for cooler days. The navy is a nice rich colour and the collar is a nice touch. The turquoise top looks fab, love that color for you! Looking fab Michelle!

This is so interesting, there's less concensus than usual (when you factor in the comments left on the thread Marianna started). At least everyone seems agreed on the white jeans outfit... But what about the jacket? Also seem to be getting very mixed reviews on the turquoise top.

Btw, someone said you couldn't see the booties clearly in the pic. I'm not 100% sure this is the same style I bought, but it sure sounds like it:

Now back to Michelle whose last casual outfit with the white jeans, argyle sleeveless pullover and Converse BLEW ME AWAY. I can’t even comment on the rest. First I have to recover from that KILLER outfit.

Haha, glad you approve so whole-heartedly, Angie! Would that outfit look ok with pewter snake flats instead of converse? I'm thinking of using it as my travel outfit on Saturday.

LOVE the checked pants and the colour of the turquoise top is AMAZING. That must be one of your best colours to date. The booties are fab too so you had a marvelous shopping day :0)
