Feedback needed - CRS

Hello ladies,

I am just getting around to trying out the pieces I got at NAS, life's been crazy lately I need your opinion on whether these pieces fit or not, I am not attached to any of these and am trying on new silhouettes so please be honest.

Hi Naf, first I must say that you look amazing in the skinnies tucked into boots look.
It was made for you! Here are mt opinions:

1. Brown sweater dress over skinnies - loove it! I's give it a perfect 10. I'd also try it with teal or purple accents ( necklace, bag, collared shirt).

2. gray jacket - another great skinnies look. I'd give this one a 9. I'd try a simple fitted LS turtleneck underneath, in yellow or bright purple.

3. cream vest - very pretty - 9.5. Same turtleneck suggestion as above, here I'd try tomato red or olive.

4. purple dress - love it, but I have a feeling that it's a bit big, especially around the hips and maybe a tad long too. It is my impression that this type of dress should be fairly fitted, but I could be wrong. As is I'd give it a 8, and if you take in a bit it would be a 9.5.

5. teal dress - great dress, I'd give it a nine. I'd try it with a cami underneath or necklace, as well as shoes/bags in colors such as cream, grey, purple, yellow.

Overall, I think you did amazing at NAS!

1. Something feels off with this. I think the sweater dress might be a little big? 7.
2. Grey jacket: 10. I love this. Very Chic. Perfect.
3. Cream vest, 8. It widens you at shoulder, and you look extra slim on bottom. A bit out of proportion, maybe?
4. This could be a 9+ if you have it tailored.
5. This is a great dress and it's great on you. 9.

Woohoo! My neighbour Naf in stylish action. You did really well. Here’s my 2 cents:

1. Sweater dress over skinnies – 9.5. Beautiful! (Now the boots look great, but I know they are wide at the calf).
2. Grey Sherlock Holmes jacket. KILLER. 10. An exciting piece! I’m swooning.
3. Cream vest. Something is off. I agree with Kyle. 7.
4. Purple dress – perfect after a slight alteration under the arm. 9.5.
5. Teal dress – very pretty. A solid 9 too.

Naf - you have a very distinctive style. Love your boots and skinnies look. My favorite piece is the grey jacket - it is outstanding. Love the sweater dress and cream vest too. Teal dress is 8.5. Purple would be a 9.5 for me once you take it in and shorten it a tad. Looks like you had some great finds at NAS.

Without reading everyone else's responses first , here are my comments (and sorry, I'm still not comfortable with the CRS... I have this pic in my mind of olympic judges holding up score cards ;-):

1) Awesome boots!! My goodness your legs are long. You do LLL effortlessly!
2) The grey jacket is a total complete utter WOW for me. LOVE this! I think this is my favorite of all, because it's just so different.
3) Purple dress is another WOW for me. I like it better than the teal dress. The teal dress is okay - and I can see it having a place in one's wardrobe - but the cut of the purple dress is just such a stunner; seeing them side by side makes me not so keen on the teal dress... well... I guess .... hmmmm.... maybe it's that you are meant to go sleeveless? You have gorgeous arms and shoulders.
4) Cream vest - really liking the idea, but it's hitting wrong at the hips somehow. Maybe it's simply not long or short enough for you. (Are you very tall? You appear to be).
5) Sweater dress - didn't mean to make this the last one. I just have a hard time adjusting my eye to this style, despite seeing it everywhere in Paris, which did help me get used to it. But that's my issue, not yours. I think I am still stuck on the idea it would make my legs look as stumpy as they really are... so I'm jealous of people who can pull it off. Which is YOU... I think it works great on you!!!

Okay I read everyone else's comments....

I think the purple dress for me is a 10 because my eye was completely drawn to your gorgeous shoulders and arms. I didn't notice anything else, hence I mislooked the idea that it might need minor alterations.

Also my mind immediately started imagining what kind of killer shoes you could rock with this dress...

Brown Sweater--Strong 9. It looks fantastic with skinnies, and I could picture it with opaque tights and boots too! (or leggings).

Grey Jacket--10!!! Love this look on you! Fantastically funky!! Very retro 80's look and you have the height for it!

Crean Vest--6....I think it makes you look hippy--and you are NOT hippy!

Purple Dress--10...it looks a little big though--maybe a small side seam reduction starting at the armpit all the way down to the bottom. But I LOVE the cut and color on you!

Teal Dress--8...Very nice, but after viewing the purple dress, it lost some points just because the purple one was so perfect!

Naf, looks like you had fun at the sale

Here are my thoughts - I really like the brown sweater over skinnies and the purple dress. That dress is wonderful and looks great on you. I agree it needs some small alterations under the arm.

The cream vest doesn't work for you, unfortunately. I like the idea of the vest, but that's not the one for you. I'm odd man out on the grey jacket, but it could just be I'm not used to the silhouette. I like the color and the pattern of the jacket. The teal dress is perfectly fine, but that purple dress is so much better. If you are only going to keep one dress, definitely the purple one!

Shiny, I am of average height: 5f 8.5in, and as the shortest amongst my siblings I am very attached to my 0.5 inch so your comment made my day!

Good to know that the skinny-boots combo works for me, I'll invest some effort in finding boots then. I gave up on them since I can't seem to find ones that fit my thin calves. But I'll give it another try.

I really liked the gray jacket when i saw it. but I loved batwing tops as a teenager so wasn't sure if it actually looked good on me or I was just being sentimental Thanks for confirming, I will keep it.
Also, I lgrew up on Sherlock Holmes books and series, so I have to keep the the "Sherlock Holmes jacket - thanks Angie

I am beginning to like the sweater dress. I liked the length and the fit and will get quite a bit of mileage out of it in our wet, cold winters. Just not a fan of the brown on me. It's a very blah brown and if I keep it I'll really have to amp up the accessories. If you see something like this in a different color, please let me know.

I am keeping the purple dress, it's been my fav since I saw it And shiny, I too can't stop thinking about all the shoe possibilities! This will be my LBD for dressy occassions this year. I'll also try a smaller size to see if it fits better, or just get it altered.

Teal dress is a great fabric and has nice detailing that is not visible in the photo. Also, it feels versatile to me, but I am not in love with it. So I'll have to think about it as well.

Cream vest will have to go

Last year I bought one in the Claret color - love it!

Ooooohh.... I see they now offer this one in green.... I tried it on in the grey the other day; it was adorable.... but the grey just didn't appeal.... but green is kinda like my "signature" color... hmmm...
