I think recently I’m starting to narrow in on my style some more. And I’m suspecting it will require some tighter curating of my wardrobe, which kinda goes against my “look for bargains and keep things until there’s something wrong with them” tendencies.

As always, I appreciate feedback including constructive criticism. I tried to lighten these photos as much as possible, but… I think I need a different facing window to take decent winter shots.

10 feb. The photo looks boring, but I felt good in this all day long. The top is longer and flares out at the hip, and I hadn’t been wearing it much - I think it works ok tucked in. Purple top, Sweet Pea; black knit blazer, BR; black trouser jeans, thrifted; gray shoes, Bandolino/Marshall’s.

11 feb. In the morning was volunteering for the monthly fabric distribution of a local group that picks up designer fabric samples designed for the dumpster and makes them available for reuse, so I wanted to be comfy and able to move, but pulled together. I’ve worn this shirt a lot once I caught on to the idea of layering it over something and wearing a belt. White tee, ?; jeans, AT Loft; olive shirt, Avenue; flats, Payless.

13 feb. You can’t tell really, but the vest has pinstripes and is one of my favorite garments ever, but is starting to stretch out. The top has fine ribbing which I thought was a nice combo with the pinstripes. White top, LL Bean; knit vest, Nordstrom; black trouser jeans, Talbots via thrift store; flats, Madden Girl.

15 feb. I’ve had this outfit picked out for weeks, but it’s been too warm to wear it (which is probably something I shouldn’t complain about too loudly around most of you!) We’re getting some rain and colder days, though, so I tried it out. Now it looks too thick in the middle somehow, and I swear my hair looked better in person. I still like the colors, though - chambray blue is surprisingly hard to wear when most of your bottoms are denim. Chambray shirt, LL Bean; navy sweater, H&M; skirt, Merona/Target; tights, Spanx; boots, Mudd/Kohl’s.
