It went well, ladies, though I didn't have time to get a different outfit together. I went with the turquoise suit with silver and turquoise jewelry. I bought this outfit three years ago when I was just finishing grad school, and since moving to the graveyard shift I haven't had much occasion to trot out clothes like that. While wearing it last night I was really struck by the difference in quality between that suit and the clothes I can purchase now that I've been working for a few years. Some new, ylf-approved suits are definitely on the long-term wishlist, though I really should pay off my previous purchases first. :) I should also probably get around to altering a Jones New York suit I have in charcoal grey with dark purple pinstripes. I wouldn't th ink that'd work too well for summer, but I liked it at the time and think maybe I can salvage it for the fall. I bought it when I was much larger than I am now and i'd likely drown in it it as is. :)

Again, ladies, thanks for following up and opening my eyes to a wardrobe area that needs my attention!

Glad you had a good time- it's definately worth altering clothes which are too big or chucking them. When i lost weight last year i did this so now if things feel a bit tight i know i need to cut back rather that slip into bigger clothes and down the slippery slope x

By the way, on the Nordstrom Sale thread you asked if they ship to Canada. Perhaps this has already been answered? If not: indeed they do, I found this under the Customer Service tab:
