So I've been trying to be better about planning my purchases this year, and also shopping less frequently. I decided to lay out all of my fall purchases to see where I'm at for the upcoming season. Can we tell I'm ready for summer to end? These are a combination of recent purchases and some end of season sale purchases from spring/summer that I've been holding out for a chance to wear.

I'd love to get your thoughts/opinions on my fall capsule. I mostly live in jeans and sweaters when the weather cools. My dominant fall/winter colors are purple/aubergine and heather grey, with a few navy and olive pieces. I branched out a little this year but am hoping these pieces will still work well with my current wardrobe.

1) Overall pieces
2) Jeans. Paige blue and Madewell grey skinnies. I put on some weight last winter and had two pairs of jeans that fit. The extra skinnies, especially the grey, give me a little more variety. Still looking to add flares if I can find the right pair.
3) Tops. Joie pink sweater to add some color variety. Loft plaid button-down for warmer days. AllSaints cobalt silk tee for my dressy capsule.
4) Dresses. Everlane shirt dress and Gap oversized tee dress. Both both in the summer but I'm planning to wear with leggings and boots in the fall.
5) Shoes. Ugg slipper flats (bought back in May?) and Steve Madden booties. I have a pair of black booties and black tall boots, so this gives me some variety.
6) NAS purchases. Michael Kors trench for transitional weather and MZ Wallace bag. I love that the bag has a strap as well as handles. My winter coats are light grey and white.

And not shown outside of the overall image: Black knee length sweatshirt/dress for casual wear and black Everlane infinity scarf.

Layed out, it looks like a lot but not too much in any single category (I think). Anything you would get rid of or think doesn't work? Anything I'm sorely lacking?

I also realized I've averaged adding about four pieces a month over the last few months, when I was planning on 2-3, but that still isn't too bad for me. Especially because I don't feel the need to add too much more at the moment.

If you got this far, thanks for reading!
