Interesting about the photofacial and laser options. It sounds like some of you can get that done at the salon, not just at the dermatologists?
Thistle, I'm glad I'm not the only one - I didn't mind the face touching quite so much, since I could prepare for it, but the whole experience is kind of exhausting, with the forced proximity for a long time with someone you've never met before, in a strange environment, where you have to be friendly...I'm never going to find that kind of thing truly relaxing. Even massages, I find kind of neutral - the physical manipulation is relaxing, the having to deal with someone I don't know that well in my space, and all the little social niceties, not so much.
To answer the question about what you get done, I regularly get my brows waxed/groomed. I've had my legs waxed in the past but now that I have a bigger shower that's easier to shave in, I stick with that. I was never a big mani/pedi person, but for a while one of our local Whole Foods locations had a natural nail salon, and I got so I'd get a pedicure there regularly. Unfortunately, they shuttered that service, and as most of the nail salons around here use all kinds of sketchy chemicals, don't take appointments online, and are otherwise completely exhausting, I'm back to doing it all myself when I get around to it.
