My birthday is on Monday. But since both me and my husband will be working on Monday (or some part of it), we decided to make this my birthday weekend.

I received my first gift yesterday from my sister Ankita. She sent me a fabulous grey sweater that I absolutely love and can't wait to wear! It's got a lovely weight, cut and drape. (pics #1&2).

And since all you fabulous Fabbers loved my idea of a faux leather skirt, I ordered myself one online today as a birthday present to myself (pics #3&4). I hope it fits!

The only thing missing was warm fleece lined tights for the winter look I want to create. I didn't have much luck finding them online, so I decided to wait until the weather actually cooled down a bit to go on a real hunt. To be honest, the tights had me a bit worried, since they are integral to my plan of wearing skirts+tights+booties this winter. I have zero tolerance for cold, so I'd really be lost without the tights.

But as luck would have it, my doorbell rang at 4:45pm today, and I saw the postman standing outside my door, with a parcel marked to me. I noticed it came through Royal Mail, and immediately knew that it was a gift from my very fabulous, very sweet and very generous friend ---- the lovely Diane G!

I opened the package and inside were these soft, buttery, warm fleece lined tights in black! How cool is that! The package contained an assortment of small but very meaningful gifts for me ---including a lovely scarf and some very very pretty necklaces. Thank you, Di! You're a true gem!!

The tights are a perfect fit! I'm so excited to wear my new leather skirt and a couple of other short dresses/skirts this winter....finally! This WOULD NOT have been possible without the fleece lined tights to keep my legs warm

I met a very close friend for drinks and dinner, and got yet another bday gift! This time - very comfy, flat brown booties! Man, was I excited!!! Since I've bought black ankle booties and already owned taupe ones, brown was the ONLY colour missing! I love them! I can picture myself wearing them very often!

I told my husband earlier this month that I didn't want any 'things' for my bday. So he's gifting me a weekend stay at a lovely and rather luxurious 5 Star Resort. This is a place where a lot of movie stars get married!!! I've been there a couple of times for meals etc, but never stayed there. I'm so very excited for the weekend!!!!

I feel so blessed and so thankful to be so loved. It's not even my birthday yet, but I sure feel very special Thanks Diane and Ankita! I love you guys!!
