Everyday wear for swing dancing skirt?

I'm so excited about my new skirt, and all the feedback I get from here, so I just add more and more posts about it..! I hope there will still be some of you willing to chip in, since I appreciate your comments so much!

Anyways. I've tried on different shoes with the skirt, to see if I have any pair that could work for everyday wear. What do you think? (And I won't be wearing this top, I just put on something simple for now)

I like the red shoes best....they're low enough that the line of your leg doesn't get cut off, but give a pop of color that the black shoes don't.....and probably a non-white shirt up on top? its a very cute skirt =)

The black tights aren't working for me. It's quite a pale almost summery skirt, how about flesh coloured tights and the white boots x

I'm not sure if those tights work with the skirt either... I think I prefer lighter shades, although I do like the navy top. My favorites are the white boots.

I think you can get a cute nautical feel when pairing the skirt with navy and white and reds.

I'm also seeing it with a thin scarf tied in a knot at the neck like they did in the 50's x

Thanks for your ideas! I guess for a while I can do without tights, but when temperature falls I'll need something more if I want to wear it. Flesh coloured tights could definitely be an option, though I must admit I'm generally a bit hesitant to wearing such... I think it's just that if I'm wearing tights I want that to show, not pretending like I don't have any on... Hm, hard to explain; does it make any sense? However, I guess that wearing flesh coloured tights would be just a part of the style as well!

Ooh, Loulou, that's such a cute look..! I'm not sure I really feel comfortable in it though; the times I've tried wearing a thin scarf like that I feel mostly too "dressed up", almost like dressing up for a mascarade, sort of. Maybe it could work for when I go out dancing properly though! And otherwise I thought I'd try and tie a scarf around a ponytail, preferably a slightly longer scarf that can hang down over my shoulder...

I think this is not a skirt to use with black tights and it's not a skirt for boots too, because it's more of summer type of skirt..
You can use it in the fall with sheer nude tights and the red shoes or the black shoes.
