This is definitely a first for me. I'm getting rid of these pants after owning them for...six years? I'm really not sure. I wore them yesterday for the last time. I can't tolerate a low rise like that anymore. Maybe my body shape is changing too. I just can't relax in these.

On the plus side, they were very cool and flattering according to my RATE style goals. Great color. And as we're discussing jeans right now, the fabric here is really fantastic, totally high-quality and not even thinning at my problem area, the inner thighs. I'm sad to be getting rid of them.

Mostly, the pants hold a symbolic meaning for me. I was wearing them in 2012 when I had a fairly serious bike accident and fractured my shoulder. I ended up doing 8 months of physical therapy, but ultimately gained back almost my entire mobility (PT guy himself had said I would lose a lot of my lateral mobility--I refused to accept that).

I got a hole in the left knee of the pants when I hit the ground. Somehow I've made these trousers an emblem of my persistence in overcoming a serious injury. I'm therefore sad to let go of them, but on the other hand they're just pants. Because of the rip, I don't think they're good for donating.

Thanks, Mossimo Supply skinny khakis! I enjoyed wearing you.
