Hehe. Long time no post on Native Wear! (tm).

Went with my mum to hear the mayoral candidates for our town debate, which was held in our neighborhood meeting hall/community church. Kinda interesting. No citizens from the other districts came to watch. I could tell: Everyone was in Native Wear! and over 70. Well, yes of course Native Wear! But not just random Native Wear! No, Crunchy Granola Financially Secure Native Wear! (R).

This means black or grey, fleece, cotton twill, avant origami dresses in a stretchy material, New Balance (and one pair each Teva and Fila), round toe leather mary janes, heathered socks and colorful glasses.

I was a little out of place because I was in my atheleisure work leggings; however, they were a foresty ink splatter green and I had on stripey wool socks. So you know, maybe me and the kid who came with his grandparents can form the swing vote in our district when he graduates high school in three years...

Can you tell what neighborhood folks come from in your town by what they wear? I couldn't do this when I was in the 'burbs. There weren't neighborhoods so much as different tract developments...
