Dressing room pic - what do you think of this dress? ETA one more

This is a Michael Kors faux leather panel front dress, ponte sheath for rest. It did make me take pants and shoes off, and does make me feel kind of cool. Sadly, a lot of my dresses and other things in my closet are too snug right now, but although I'd like a dress, I really don't need a black dress.

Added one more dress. I love this. Maybe even more minus about five pounds. Oh how I love shift and sheath dresses. This one has suede down the side.

Pat and Ryce - it's not that dissimilar to a dress I'm about to move on that I don't want to keep in my closet since it no longer fits me.

It's nice. Casual. Be good for kicking around in. But if you don't need a black dress... why are you passing on the similar dress? Is it worn out?

Rachy - the dress in my closet is too small. Plus, I was going through a short dress phase, and now I am wishing for a little more length in the dresses j wear. Casual fits my dressing needs to a T.

Oh well, in that case I'd maybe go for it. This is the sort of dress that would see a lot of wear from me. Seems worry free.

Thank you for your replies. I've spent some time considering my lifestyle, climate, and closet. I like wearing dresses, and with enough try ons, generally find something I enjoy wearing. I tend to like the structure and fabric of winter (for me) dresses. However, I've had summer dresses with sleeves on my wish list for over a year. Those are the ones eluding me. The fact that it was in the high 80s last week reminds me the heat is never far away.

I also tried on several dresses from my closet.

The teal dress is great from the front, but a bit snug over my chest and upper back.I honestly can't think of a place I would be wearing this in the next year. And I promised myself I wouldn't bring in anything that I feel like I need to lose weight to wear comfortably. But I love the color and shaping.

The black dress makes more sense for me with the short sleeves, but i have a couple black dresses already. I would love more color in dresses - wine, teal, purple, Royal.
