Hi Christine, I think both SP top and the dress look great. Do you feel unsure because it's something new? Or do you have doubts about the style?
Somehow I am not crazy about the denim jacket, but I can't pinpoint why - maybe it's the length. I am no expert, so I'd be curious what others say.

Thank you Marianne - I appreciate the feedback. I think that part of it is my own body issues. As soon as I see myself in pictures, I think that I look wider than I look when I just look in the mirror.

With the jacket, something just seems off, but I can't pinpoint it. I've never worn a denim jacket, though, so I thought maybe I just wasn't used to it yet.

I absolutely love your haircut and your beautiful eyes. You are so pretty. The top and the dress are BEAUTIFUL! I don't especially like the denim jacket. It is rather boxy and I'm not too sure about the color of it. I think a more fitted dark denim might be really good with that great dress.
Where did you find the Sweet Pea top? It is one of the most beautiful ones I've seen. I love the large flower and the colors.

Christine, the dress and the top look great on you. You are so beautiful with the prettiest eyes; don't let the pictures get to you. I'm with san, it is the prettiest top I have seen in a while. I was lingering on the photo admiring you and the top when I couldn't help but notice the little pink iron and stand beside you. How adorably cute! Wrt the jacket, something darker and fitted would look much better.

I love the tunic. I am venturing a guess about the jacket - I think the horizontal line where the sleeves end and the actual jacket ends line up giving it a boxy feel.

PS. I tried the Drew ponte pants you recommended and loved them so much that I got 2 pairs.

The denim jacket needs to be a little longer and nipped in at the waist so as to eliminate the very horizontal line that it’s creating across your torso. Short blocky styles like that are best on long-waisted body types. I hope that makes sense.

LOVE the dress! I know you've had troubles finding one, but that one is a keeper!

The tunic is also very pretty. I will leave it to the others to discuss the jacket because I'm struggling as well to know what the best fit for one is.

Oh thank you everyone! I swear that I'm not normally this insecure. I'm trying to train my eye, and it's getting better, but I have such a hard time figuring out what looks okay and what doesn't, especially in pictures. Thank you for the compliments - they're much appreciated!

What you said about the jacket makes perfect sense Angie. I knew that it didn't look right and that it didn't do what I was hoping it would do, but I couldn't figure out why. I'll see if I can still return it; I bought it a couple of months ago.

elpgal - I'm glad those pants worked for you. I'm ordering another pair today so that I can get them hemmed for flats.

Christine, I really don't have anything new to add but wanted to echo everyone's comments about the top and the dress. I picked that dress up as well but I'm taking it back because it's polyester (which looks and feels fine) and our summers are miserably hot...polyester doesn't breath well. I'm going to be looking for a nice cotton summer dress. You wear that dark blue very well!

I am late to the party as well but I like both the top and the dress. I like your haircut, too!
