Do you think white sandals will be around next summer?

As I peruse the end of summer sales, I'm seeing a few white sandal options. I'm particularly drawn to the chunkier Birk look ones. Do you think that this trend will be still around next summer, or will they look passé by then?

I certainly hope so.

I really want a pair of white sandals. I have looked high and low. Birks (and their lookalikes) do not work for my style or foot. But .... if they work fo you, grab them!

I've really enjoyed my white sandals this summer, and I fully intend to wear them next summer as well. I am less likely to see a color as passe than a style or cut. White is classic and perfect for summer.

I have yet to see a summer without them, though their fashionability quotient is way up in recent years.

I hope so! I couldn't find my pair this year, and am hoping to next year No advice on whether Birkies will be around next summer, but I have a hunch that yes they will based on how comfortable so many people find them (I'm not in that group).

I was going to post my thoughts on 'Resort 2015' trends, but thought folks would kill me, since we are just now tip toeing into f/w 2014. I wanted to get an idea what might be good to save from this year's summer closet for next year.

I saw lots of white...EVERYTHING! And the chunky flat sandal, including Birks, were in evidence...but I want to qualify that by saying they were WHITE Birks! The sneaker trend was still in evidence, but to my eye, more refined...baby blue skirt and top, with baby blue athletic shoe in suede. That kind of thing.

I'm with you in the end of season hunt so I'm also banking it will last at least one more season. Birks are apparently too comfy to not continue. If not we can all share a bottle of shoe dye.

I think white summer sandals will be around for quite a while.

As for Birks, I hope so! I have been loving my silver ones all summer and am hoping they will still be on trend or at least not passé next summer. Interestingly, the Birk trend has not really caught on here yet. You just don't see them much here.

The owner of the small boutique shoe store I go to is betting the white Birk trend will continue. She already placed her spring/summer order after attending the recent shows. She also picked some other colors but I don't want to give away any surprises.
