Do skinnies and flats work on me?

So I know some of you will see this in your blog reader too, but I need all the opnions I can get so I can be sure I am not walking around looking afool!

You look amazing in your skinny jeans. You have a fantastic figure. The boots and shoes both work.
I felt the same way as you when I first wore skinnies, like the whole world would turn their heads and think, "now theres a woman who should not wear skinnies". It's great when your eye adjusts to wearing them and then pretty soon you don't think about it one way or the other, except that skiinies look better with some tops, and bootcuts look better with others.

Those are REALLY skinny skinnies, so I think I would prefer them with a longer top, maybe crotch length. You can definitely wear them with flats though.

I totally retract my opinion from a few days ago. LOVE them with flats, and with the different boots! It had to have been the other boots that was throwing me off. You look AWESOME.

Wow, thank you so much ladies! You have totally obliterated any self-consciousness I had lingering about the skinnies. What a relief...

I am so glad they are YLF approved, Because after my first full day of wearing them around, I am finding them really comfortable. You know how jeans stretch out as you wear them? These are stretching just right, without being baggy in places like the other pair I tried.

This is also a relief because with my recent back injury, I am going to have to make flat shoes work in my wardrobe for the foreseeable future... this expands my options.

Of course you can wear skinnies with flats! Looks fabulous.

I’d love to see a slightly longer top though – but about 2 inches.

I'm in total agreement here with the other lasses: please keep wearing those skinny jeans!

Right-o Angie!! Thanks for the tip, you are totally right! I think I did better today. I topped the skinnies with a white cowl neck that hits right at the bottom of the zipper on the jeans (is that the right spot?), and a long heather grey sweater coat that hits just shot of fingertip length. I wore it with teal suede loafers (http://www.target.com/Merona-M.....%20Loafers)

Inge... thank you so much for your kind words! I AM feeling much better! My personal life has been back on track, though it's not what I thought it would be, in a good way. The BF of 6.5 years has turned a new leaf, and things have been great. But I am just taking life one day at a time and keeping a positive attitude!!
