Do I need to change my wardrobe?

Hello friends. I recently joined this site. Really glad to find in. I need advice please. I am 58 years young, and I show horses. I love the sophisticated chic cowgirl look. I love Miss Me jeans. I dress very appropriately, no showing tummys or low cut tops. Everybody I meet does not think I look my age. They think I'm in my late 40's. My question is, do you think I can still wear my jeans with a little bling, but not the low rise like I have, but the mid rise. Any advice will be very much appreciated.

Based on your post, I would say definitely yes.

I think once we hit 40 we are expected to tone down our jeans a bit which is a shame I used to love patterns and designs on my jeans, really helped to make my leg look a bit curvier But I'm sure there are ways to bend the rules so you can still wear what you love. Maybe Suttle bling if there's such a thing or it could be toned down with the right top and footwear a lot of it can be how something is worn rather then what is being worn

I should think so. And I totally sympathise with the issue of getting the respect one deserves- that's how I see it. I get mistaken for younger. Once I showed up for a job interview and they thought I was there for an internship. And I was dressed as much like the proverbial librarian as I knew how. Lol.

Depending on the area of the country... In Texas, it's fine. Here in GA, the horse and cattle folks don't wear bling, so it might not go over that well. I work in an ag extension office, so I'm in the know, lol.

You gotta be you! You might want to make sure the jeans are relatively up to date, which would be the case with any personal wardrobe fave, but other than that, rock on with your bling!!

Absolutely. Wear what you love. Your comfort and happiness will be evident, and it will amp up your style. Personally, I like a little detail on the pocket, as Shaz says, to highlight or create some curves.

I echo the others in going with a "do and wear whatever you want' attitude. That particular look - blingy jeans with pocket detail - is more popular in certain areas than others, but if it rings your bell - all the power to you !

Welcome, Cheryl. Angie's first rule is to have fun with fashion. Wear what makes you happy. A smile is the best accessory. I'm nearly 70 and shiny and plaid jeans, usually low because that fits my hips best. It's not something my friends would be caught dead in but I don't care.

If you don't care, then by all means wear whatever you want. Since you asked, my answer was based on the assumption that you care what others think. I personally don't care one way or the other. I think it's great! However, like I said, I'm not sure it wouldn't go over well here in all parts of the country.

If you love it wear it, if it makes you happy wear it I've seen ladies coming up to sixty looking absolutely stunning in mini dressing in all shapes and sizes so if they can rock a mini you can sure rock bling
