Do Denim of Virtue jeans grow/ edited with photos

A pair of DOV straight-leg jeans arrived today that fit snugly right out of the box, and I'm wondering if anyone knows how much of a tendency they have to relax or grow? They may be just a bit more snug than my ideal, and I'm wondering how much I can expect them to ease in with wearing.

Or maybe I'm unsure how straight legs are supposed to fit. Can post a photo tomorrow, but in the meantime, how snug should straight-legs be in the thigh?

I don't own these so I can't say for sure...but doesn't everything grow a bit. With this fit I say err on the side of snug...nothing looks worse tham ill fitting..baggy denim...pet peeve of mine ...keep") ...just wear a few days in a row.

Okay, I'll get a photo when the light improves. You will have to ignore the comical amount of hemming that must be done to make these the right length.

I'll see if my son is willing to take a picture from the rear, which usually collapses him into giggles as he acknowledges that he is "taking pictures of Mom's butt -- to post on the internet!"

Good grief; there goes that Mother of the Year award...

So, is this pretty much how straight legs should fit? Return? Hem and keep? Hem and haw?

um. i don't know much about how straight cuts are supposed to fit since i can't pull them off myself....but i think those look FANTASTIC on you! i can't see that they're too tight anywhere, front or back. they seem to hug you just right....i vote for hem + keep for sure!

I think they look good ... definitely not obscenely tight. I would probably keep and wear them around the house with tags for a few days to see if they'll relax a bit. Dark rinse jeans do tend to give after a bit.

They look great on you. I would worry that they might be too big because there is quite a bit of extra fabric at the back of the thighs. I think you should wear them around the house for a while and see if they start growing.
I LOVE your curly hair. I am having curl envy!

This looks like a good fit to me. If they fit everywhere else....this may be as good as it gets with this brand. You are simalar to me in shape, you are never going to fill that *thigh* area out...why I like True Religions...slim through the thigh.

Do you like them April? they are cute and don't look too baggy...just a smidge on the tushie...you could wash and dry them...(SHUDDER) Or start from scratch.UGH

Thank you all for your help! Srujana <blush> thanks for the vote of confidence. Melody, that is a good idea; I'll keep the tags on and see what happens after an hour or so over a couple of days.

San, I am down a couple of pounds from normal at the moment, so when I bounce back that fabric at the back of the thigh may smooth out some.

I will keep my eyes open for TRs, Taylor. I have heard that we are body doubles (have I seen your picture?) so your expertise is very helpful to me!

April, they look awesome. Hope you keep! I found a killer deal on a pair of white bootcut jeans by denim of virtue, but I had no clue about the brand so I passed. Now, I can keep in mind the next time I see a deal like that

Okay, I am keeping these! Off to the tailor they go. Angie, they are very comfy; good level of stretch and not constricting.

And the waist is high enough not to present the "I see London I see France" problem when I lean forward. Believe me, I see this problem more often than I would care to when I am taking Amtrak. I generally don't need to know what color panties the passenger beside me had chosen that morning, but very often when she leans forward to rummage through the bag at her feet -- bingo. TMI!

April, I SO know what you mean, having taken NJ transit for several years. I am probably guilty of it too though, since I have a hard time finding a rise that hides everything.

I'm glad you decided to keep them. They look great on you.

I think that they look fantastic on you. They don't seem to be pulling anywhere, so they don't appear too tight.
