After Angie’s post about acid wash denim I decided to visit my local thrift store in search of a vintage jacket. No luck with the jackets, so I decided to browse the massive rack of jeans. I didn’t find anything quite as dramatic as Angie’s examples. I don't think the pair I found is technically acid wash, it's more striated and distressed. Even so, there is definitely subtle mottling throughout, particularly at the waist. Besides, they are on-trend
flares, fit great, and were $2.

First, I paired the jeans with a simple black tank. I think the look is meh. Next I tried a sheer back tee with floral appliqué. Even though the look is still graphic, the top adds some softness. I tried adding leopard print shoes (I know it's hard to see them) and black pointy pumps. I also added a red lippie, but I think it distracts from the softness I found so appealing. Overall, my favorite is the floral tee, pointy pumps, and neutral lip. Which do you like? Other ideas for styling?

P.S. I really wished my camera skills were such that I could accurately capture the pattern and texture of these pieces. Let me give a thunderous round of applause to all of you who have mastered the full-length selfie. We shall not discuss the number of photos I just took of myself.
