Dinner party attire?

So I haven't posted in a while and have fell off the fashion wagon slightly could you lovelies help me decide what to wear to a dinner party with a smart/casual invite , are smart jeans acceptable ? Are wrap blouses still on trend? I've posted a few pics of what I might wear( not styled) maybe with a Pop of Color ,a red clutch?

As far as I'm concerned, smart jeans + wrap blouse is a classic pairing that will never be out of date. It certainly sounds like an appropriate combo for the setting you've described. Wear with pride and have a great time!

Yes, I think that nice jeans and a cute top are very acceptable for a casual dinner party. Especially if you accessorize with heels or dressy flats and some jewelry. You look great in this outfit!

I thought I understood YLF to almost define "smart casual" prototype as dressy jeans--such as darkwash, neat and in good shape. So unless you think your crowd is different, that plus a nice top (yours looks right, not a T-shirt, coordinates nicely with the jeans) seems perfect. Then to be on safe side, dressing up the accessories sounds right, to show the jeans are not "just casual".

i think jeans- especially dark jeans, are perfect for a smart casual dinner party. and i agree with michelle, wrap blouses are a classic

To me it all depends on what city you're in and what time of year, etc. That said, wherever you are, wear that exact outfit you posted. You look so pretty!

Thanks ladies.its sort of an interesting invite . It's a business/family friend thank you dinner in a rural setting.the host is a local landowner whom we and some friends helped out and this is his way of repaying us.he is well educated and well travelled( his latest squeeze is cooking dinner!) but is a total character.it will be an interesting night.

I just went to a dinner party yesterday and wore skinny dark jeans with pointy flats! I love your nude shoes and your top. Sounds like a fun dinner!

The outfit looks great, and I agree it will be good for the occasion, too. Those shoes are perfect with the outfit. Do you have a bracelet you might add? Just a thought, because it would show nicely with that sleeve length. Your watch is a great accessory, in any case, even without a bracelet.

I think this outfit fits very well with the smart casual invite.
Love the bookending between the blouse and the shoes and the proportions are gorgeous!

Firecracker you have flagged a little wardrobe hole in the accessory department for me but lately I've been a great watch wearer .ithought one of these might do the job .also I will do my nails which will color things up a bit.
