Diesel Jogg jeans: Pretty sure I'm keeping (jackiec!)

I found these for half price on Amazon (still not cheap, but better than the Rag & Bone ones). As jackiec described, they are not actually sweatpants, but very stretchy with a denim feel.

I LOVE THEM. I realize they are slouchy and maybe not even JFE. But they make me feel tomboy sexy, if that makes sense. The distressing and slouchiness make me so happy. To me they have the vibe of the R13 X-over jeans without the fit issues.

BUT if you see anything super-awful please let me know, because I may be too smitten to see it. There is a hang tag sticking out of the pocket. I could size down one size, but these are staying up well without a belt so far...

The rise seems a little high, but overall I love them. I think you look great in them, and with a happiness factor this high, how can you not keep them?

You are right, Echo. The rise is high! I can scrunch them down so they look like drop crotch harem pants. In reality I would probably not tuck this high.

What I love is the narrower hips which actually fit my body with the inset pockets. That was a big problem with the R13s.

OMG I literally just choked on my coffee when I saw your post! Half price!?! Can I ask you what size you got? Seems you sized up a wee bit. I think I could too. In fact I went back to try on a 28 but they had NONE. Awesome fabric, right? Do you think it will stretch. I am thinking it will. I just wanted to get the size right in case something like this happened - a great deal online! I love them on you, but of course I do. I am off to check this out. Thank you thank you thank you.

I agree about the rise being high, but I can overlook that because they do have that tomboy sexy vibe on you and I'm imagining they are very comfortable and easy to wear, which will give them a high happiness factor. And a great deal too!

I saw that Amazon is sourcing the Diesels from Surplus which is the Canadian site I've been stalking. So I also went ahead and bit the bullet on a pair, but I'm going to try the non-distressed version to change it up from the R&b's a bit. Oooooh you are an enabler.....and I suffer from FOMO as usual.....(fear of missing out )

Una, I love that you love them. I do have to highlight two things about them though - since you asked:

the rise is VERY high, and looks a little odd with the semi tuck
do you really need more casual wear?

I have been wondering about those since I saw them in the Finds. They look pretty cool on you, Una. You can totally pull them off.

Angie and everyone else, thanks. I can see the rise issue. But I would mostly be wearing these slouched down and hopefully not so oddly tucked - I wanted to show where they sit on what little waist I have.

Technically I don't need more casual wear. But in my recent purge I got rid of a bunch of denim that wasn't getting used, because of fit or style. I've realized it's skinnies or BFs for me right now. And these feel to me like imagine your jodhpurs feel to you. And they will work for "glamping" and going to the state fair and all my weekends.

Jackiec, yay! I meant to post the link. Some of the styles seem to have only odd sizes, some only even. And there are both regular and Jogg styles which confused me. Which ones did you get? These are a 28, but I think a 27 would have worked too. I can't tell if they will stretch although they are stretchy. Not soft like the Rag & Bones but will see after washing.

I know these are not going to be everyone's sugar eye like they are mine, so thank you all for the feedback!

I also have a sugar eye for these types of things, and need to watch it as I load up my jean wardrobe. I have a lot of denim, but have been slowly purging (or hacking) what I have. It's my "uniform" and what I wear 9 months of the year so I feel somewhat justified. However, I will see how these work out for me and will return if I don't love them. I took a gamble on the Jogg 0805F which is basically the same (from what I can tell) but in a clean dark blue wash. I thought I saw these on Amazon this AM but now I don't. I ordered through Surplus anyways since it's Canadian and I don't have to deal with exchange or duty. 28's have been sold out for awhile but I think the 27's will have enough slouch for me, especially if they give with wear. Una - you know how much I like these type of "jeans" - right? (I mean, I ended up getting 2 pairs of the R & B pjs!) - and you also know how much I like an oversized fit - right? So, you would think that I would love these "jeans." But I don't. In my eyes, these "jeans" have too high of a rise - and when you pull them further down onto your hips, I think that it makes the legs incredibly baggy - I mean, super baggy - to where I'm losing sight of the fact that they are a jeans hybrid - and look more to me like some really slouchy, sloppy sweatpants. BUT - here's the deal - you LOVE them! So, I say keep and enjoy!

ETA: could you go down a size?

You look so happy in these! And they are perfectly you. And I do think they are JFE. I think a v neckline would add that extra bit of structure though, to somehow temper the baggy fit and long rise.
