A few years ago, I had a brief flirtation with silk shirts from J.Crew but found that they wore out within two wears, literally. The rips were in the fabric itself, not at the seams, and I thought it had something to do with the quality of the shirt. In the fall, I purchased an Equipment shirt, and now noticed the same issue in the back. I'm really disappointed, as I thought Equipment shirts were long-lasting, and that price point, I expect them to be. I bought the XS, which is still quite roomy, and have worn it maybe seven times. Is this normal? I wash them in the laundry machine, gentle, cold water, in a structured laundry bag. Our washer lacks the middle post often found in US/Can. machines. What could be causing the wear-and-tear?
