Finding and understanding your body type

Demin and other things

I've decided this is shopping weekend. I've made no progess and I need to break out of this rut.

I spent my free time today reading past post on premium demin. I'm looking for straight legs. Does anyone have any recomendations for an apple figure. I'm willingly tho invest because I will wear them and definitely get my money out of them. Ive tried on Gap jeans BR, AT and Lucky's. Nothing worked.

I'm also still looking for a dress. I'm going to make a concentrated effort to get this done. Time is running out.

As far as my mini list goes. I've bought nothing. I did pick up some pearls from Macy's at 30% off and then a 15% off coupon.

Just chiming in to empathize with you! Denim for apple body type is challenging for me as well. I have tried on JAG at Nordstrom and DKNY and Calvin Klein at Macys with some success (in the end I realized I had perfect pair of Levis at home that just needed new hem). Can't remember if those were straight legs. I typically like a slight boot cut (not a flare) to balance my top half.

I think a 10" rise is the best for me - not too high or low. If you have trousers you love at home - try to measure rise and keep that in mind?

With denim I like to go somewhere that does not mind how many styles you bring in fitting room or shop with a "helper" whose only mission is to go back and forth bringing in styles and sizes.

Best wishes for your shopping trip!

Try the COH "Elson" fit first. Then work your way through Hudson fits. Hmmm. The Elson is so in demand at the moment it's ridiculous. I’ve only seen it online at the moment.

What makes the Elson's so popular. I looked at a couple of online sites and if I ordered them they won't even ship to the end of Oct.

The fit is very flattering! The denim is super soft and the rise is a little higher which makes it super comfortable. That’s why it’s flying off the shelves. It seems to work for many body types too. It works on someone like me, it works for a tall curvy hourglass AND a short pretty pear. I just came back from a client (short pretty pear) who was ELATED with her new Elsons.

I will definitely look for them tomorrow. I did call Nordstrom's. They will not be getting anymore in until the 1st of Nov here.

Totally recommend the Elson's; they are my favorite jeans.

Denim aside, perhaps give the Inc ponte knits a try?

No, they're not denim. And I see you are in San Antonio, so they may be too warm for most of the year there. But, for fall/winter, you might give them a try, and the grey ones are on sale. They are higher rise, and a straight leg cut, and super comfy - like sweats except they don't bag.

And if the Inc pants fit you well.... I will take a gamble and suggest the COH Elson's will probably too!!
