I love navy and black together! It's so chic and very French to my mind. Especially in that outfit- you look great!

There are so many dated "rules" floating around about colour matching, aren't there? Another one I can never understand is black and brown- I love it but some people seem to think it's a major faux pas. Oh well, horses for courses, I guess. (Hey, look at that- I'm Angie!)

And I adore Battlestar Galactica even more. That was the best TV series ever made. Nothing comes close to that level of female empowerment, intelligent story line and thrilling suspense. KILLER to the power of KILLER that show is.

Thanks everyone! Ele, I totally agree that there are some odd fashion rules out there. Personally I love the combination of black and chestnut- it just seems so sophisticated.

Angie, I really like the strong female characters in BSG- Kara Thrace being one of my favourites. Currently I finishing up the third season and was really upset when Starbuck died. I actually cried. :-( But I also like that they just aren't one-dimensional strong characters, that they have flaws and history, and make really bad decisions. I think my overall favourite character might be Helo though as his character sees that there is often more than what is at the surface in every situation.

You guys are making me want to get the season one of BSG and get to know these characters.

I am tickled pink there are some BSG fans here!!! I just about died when the show ended (or did it? I'm always confused since the writer's strike) Starbuck is everything I secretly want to be - physically, mentally and in spirit (except, of course when sometimes she is just SO stubborn, which I already am) And you are right Dawn, Helo seems to be the most reasonable and insightful of all characters. And the music, the background score is just SO awesome esp the reinvented version of "All along the watch tower". I could just go on and on about this show *g*

It was a sad day when BSG ended. Don’t let the cat out the bag for Dawn about the ending! Here is my list of fav characters:

1. Commander Adama, hands down. LOVE the old man. He made the show.
2. Saul (XO), and his relationship with Commander Adama. LOVE him too.
3. Laura - Madame President, very brilliant.
4. Kara Thrace – Starbuck. I echo your words. (I like her hubby too).

Love all the Jimi Hendrix ballads floating through the show. I have netflixed the spin off called “New Caprica”. Can’t wait!

This outfit is fantastic. I never really understood why mixing navy & black was considered to be a no-no...

San, you should start watching it. It's amazing!

Angie, while Lee (Apollo) mightn't be my favourite character, he is my eye-candy of the show along with Chief Tyrol. However I really think Apollo is starting to come into himself in this series and stepping out of his father's shadow.

I am completely in the dark about the show BSG. However, I love the dress and have no problem with navy and black. Black leggings are kind of like denim in that they seem to go with everything. You look so great in that outfit!!!

Commander Adama is also my #1 fav character. Whoever wrote that character did an outstanding job. And so with characters Saul, Laura and Starbuck.

Apart from all these characters, I think the most creatively done was the character of Gaius Baltar. His quirky, God-complex with his primal survival instincts make for a complex character which they were able to successfully keep consistent throughout. I really appreciate and admire that. Especially when how today's shows are handled by multiple writers.

Dawn, Apollo is real handsome but the rugged Samuel Anders is my eye-candy :-D Have fun!

Gaius is SO annoying, but brilliant all the same. So is his cylon lover, 6. I want to watch the series again !

Just finished the third season now and I can't wait to start watching the fourth season at the weekend. Gaius is such a well-written character as are so many other characters in the show, particularly Saul Tigh and Adama- I love the relationship between the two of them.
