How about a great pair of dark wash jeans, great bag, funky high heels in a bright color, a fabulous jacket .... and a form-fitting tee shirt that has a sense of humor?
Normally I wouldn't recommend anyone over the age of maybe 21 to wear message shirts, but if the rest of your outfit is sharp and age-appropriate, and you're going to a comedy club, you can get away with it. ;-0
Like for example I might borrow my teen daughter's tee-shirt that has a woman putting her head in the microwave with a big red x .... i.e., don't put your head in the microwave. Kinda subtle humor.
