Descriptions of your daily ensembles

Dani 8/4 - 8/9

Here's what I wore this week (no theme this week :) ):

Monday - green AT cardigan and denim skirt

Tuesday - lavender BCBG surplice top with denim clamdiggers

Wednesday - Navy shirtdress with yellow J Crew cardigan. I ended up unbuttoning a few more buttons during the day and I think it looked better.

Inspiring! my favorite was Tuesday, followed by Monday. It looks like you have mastered smart casual

I like Saturday and Thursday best. But I think all of them are nice and really like how you do color.

I think Wednesday is my favourite: we've seen the shirtdress before, but it looks completely different paired with the yellow cardigan. Melikey!-)

You're doing fantastic Dani!

The only thing I'm wondering about is the length of the fuchsia top on Friday (might it be a better length for skirts?) and personally I would like to see the white gauzy blouse just a little bit shorter. What do you think?

Dani - fantastic. I love your natural flair for color and how you mix and match things. You are bold and have a signature style all your own. I think I'd recognize you in the streets if I saw you walking by :-) I love the lavender BCBG top, very elegant. I really like everything else as well and the fuschia top especially popped for me. The only exception is the white gauzy blouse - maybe it's the length as Inge mentions but something about it doesn't sit as well and flatter your body as the rest of your outfits.

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday were my favorite looks--I liked the color pairings. The length of the blouse in the Thursday outfit does seem a tad long--and I wonder if the undershirt emphasizes that since it sits so much higher up? That said, I liked the turquoise shoes and necklace that day. Turquoise = summer to me.

Hi Dani - You look great! I'm impressed by how effortless your outfits look. Your outfits look perfect for your lifestyle. I'm also really impressed at how your style has evolved. Again, to me, it appears effortless. It looks like you figured out what you wanted, what would look good on you and bought a few key pieces. I'm very jealous. I feel like I'm still very confused and keep buying the wrong things! Well done!

I love love love Tuesday's outfit! Love it. It totally looks like something I would wear (and I'm actually looking for a lilac top). You have definitely mastered smart casual, Dani. :)

Another wonderful week! You are SO there.

You look pretty in lavender and wear turquoise like I have seen no other. Love the way you matched the fushia top with the orange shoes. Does hubby like your new style? Do you get compliments from friends and family?

Thanks everyone for the feedback and nice words. I'm enjoying taking pictures everyday and trying to put together different looks with the pieces I have. It's challenging, but I feel more put together when I do get to leave the house :)

It's so funny about the fuchsia top...when I wore it with a skirt, it was deemed too long for the skirt, but I can scrunch it up to work with a skirt. I think I need different bottoms (maybe a little more volume) and it might look better.

You guys are right about the white shirt. It's actually on my list to go after summer's over. There's something not quite right about it but I kind of need it in my wardrobe now. I will definitely look for something better next year :)

Angie, my husband and family aren't really interested in how I look so I do this completely for me. I have gotten compliments from friends and others. I'm feeling better about how I look each day which makes me happy and in turn positively affects my family. My husband is just happy that I'm in a good place, which is sweet for me :)

Wow Dani, an incredible week! You look absolutely fantastic! I especially love the Tuesday outfit. That lavender BCBG top makes my hearth skip a bit.

You look cute as a button every day! I love the different colors of your shoes, the shirt dress with the sweater, and your clam digger looks the best. They look fantastic. Isn't it amazing how clothes effect our self esteem? That is how I justify the amount of time I spend on this forum!

Dani you wear bright colors so well. I can imagine those vivid colors brightening your days all week long. I too dress to please myself and any compliments from others are cherries on top. :D

I love, love, love, the white gauzy blouse. I think it would look good with more fitted pants. It's so summery.
You look great in all your color combos.

Dani....I have two favorites...the blue shirt dress with the yellow cardi, and the fuscia top with the clamdiggers and orange sandals.

I can't pick one over the other--but they are both fabulous. Where did you get that dress?

Posted 1 year ago

Nicole, thanks...the dress is Anne Klein and I picked it up at Macy's within the last month. I've gotten a lot of use out of it and am planning another way to wear it in the next couple of weeks *grin*

Thanks to everyone for your comments. It's so nice to get virtual compliments :)

Awwww I don't see it on the Macy's website. Oh well, I don't think I could wear a shirtdress well anyway...but it looks so fab on you!
