When I first tried the Lana top on, I didn't pull the tie out. It made a little bump in the back with the thin cardi, so I pulled it out and I thought, "this looks really cute" so I decided to wear it that way with the cardigan. I think because the jacket is a thicker double knit, if you tied the tie in the back in a loose flat knot, there wouldn't be a bump, or it wouldn't be noticeable. So you'd have the raised bateau collar, but the tie would be hidden. Does this make sense? Later tonight I'll try it and take a picture and you can see what you think. I'd do it now, but I'm wearing the Caterina top today, which (I think you'll see) is not easy to get on and off. With a cami it takes a bit of adjusting and tying of the belt to get your bits in the right place. It's not annoying, but once it's on, it's just easier to leave it on.
As far as being a mole--no, I'm just pathetic and read the J. Crew catalog the way other women read fashion magazines. I'll look through it really carefully for a few days, and then put it away, and then take it out again a few days later and look through it again, and cut the pictures out of the outfits I like and make notes as to why I like the outfit ("nice color combo," "like the necklace with this," etc) and then think of things I have that maybe I could mimic the outfit. That's why if people post on here and say, "What should I wear with this?" Almost all of my suggestions are from J. Crew, because I pretty much have everything they offer memorized at any given moment. It's sad, I need help.
