I took comments from yesterday and attempted another go today. Hopefully I'm making some progress. My closet is pretty much receiving flunking marks as I work through what all I've accumulated without much thought or strategy.

Hi Dani, I think this look is much better than the previous one. The jeans are nicely fitted ans show off your great figure. The shirt is probably a bit too loose, but a tailor should be able to put a few darts in there and fix the issue,

Oh, you could add a waist belt, too, to cinch it in more. Red or white would look really nice. You seem to like that combo--do you? Red white and blue. I like it too. The red shoes look great!

These silhouettes are MUCH better and a lot more flattering. I meant to mention in an earlier thread that your shoes are sweet, Dani! I like Ana’s idea of waist cinching belt. Jazz the outfit up a bit.

Now, how far are your jeans off the ground? These are boot cuts so PPL apply.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. Angie, you're correct about the length, although they are not as short as the picture makes them look. They are about 1" off the ground and I will have to break the PPL for now as they are one of two pairs of jeans that I have that are even close to being the right fit. I will work on it promptly though

About belts, do you guys have any suggestions as I have tried the look in the past, but I always end up futzing with the belt (especially hauling around a very active 2yo boy) and I end up taking them off. Do I need to try a different type or size belt? I'm willing to try again, but I will have to try something different than I have in the past.

Thank you for indulging me, Dani. You shall see what a huge difference an inch can make.

Ah. You are carrying a toddler. No problem. If you do decide to indulge in a belt, try one that is partially elasticated. It stays put and is extra comfortable.
