Cream Ruffles, Yay or Nay?

I mentioned in a post last week a cream ruffle French Connection knit I was about to order. The knit arrived today and I would appreciate your honest opinions on both the knit and my outfits (please ignore the disaster bra).

Outfit 1
Cream FC Knit
Killah black culottes with pearls
Black lace tights
Large patent clutch

What a gorgeous top!! Love the first outfit. All the items in the second one are great too, but I feel it lacks something (not sure what though, big help right;-)

I think the bag is perhaps wrong in the second outfit Inge. Thanks for your feedback, have you tried belting your waterfall cardigans yet?

The top is fabulous and I love the first outfit, too! The second one doesn't grab me so much, but it may be that the light color denim just isn't my personal preference. I love, love, love the leopard print shoes in #2, though. I must get some animal print in my wardrobe!

The top is gorgeous on you and I love the pearl belt in the first outfit! The second outfit is very nice, also. It's always nice to be able to get different looks out of a piece. You are lovely!

Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad the ruffles get your approval (a bargain at £12.99 reduced from £50.00). I'm much more comfortable putting smart casual outfits together. My casual MOTG outfits need some serious work.

Most of the items I posted above now fit again after losing my baby weight, the culottes are five years old and the shoes (unseen) in the first picture are over a decade old.

With the remainder of my monthly budget and probably next months budget as well I'm hoping to thrift a top quality camel coat for the winter.

Wow R+J - that top is amazing on you!! As others have said, the first outfit is stellar. I wonder if the faded denimin the 2nd outfit doesn't have enough contrast for the white top - it doesn't pop out as much. And that top deserves to pop!!!

Cream-ruffles - definitely YAY! You look great in both outfits. I love the details on the first outfit: the lacy stockings, the pearl belt and the patent bag.
