My first thought was a pretty chocolate brown. I love that color combination. Or you could wear it with navy blue or black. That's such a pretty color and can go a lot of the neutrals!

I was thinking navy after I posted (which of course I don't have...) I'm afraid the collar may make the jacket look frumpy so I was hoping to step up the bottom option.

Depending on where the jacket hits, could you do a pencil skirt? Since the jacket doesn't have as much structure with it, it might look good with a structured and slim skirt. Just a thought.

Brown. Less severe than black.

Since it's summer, you might try cream or white. Besides the other options mentioned, there's black and white microcheck, charcoal, olive/breen, etc.
If you want to draw attention away from the collar, try a pretty cotton scarf with it

I was also going to say white/cream. But in winter you could do black or charcoal gray. Any neutral will go but those are my preferences. The only colors I don't think I like with it are any colors from the khaki family...caramels and beiges.

I love white/cream with that color. Brown is also nice.

Brown for the fall or evening esp, navy or dark denim blue also great. Charcoal grey would be lovely also. But since it is still so HOT HOT HOT, I say go for white or off white. That would be just sweet.

Wow. My perception is different. I would not have chosen brown at all. This is a Summer jacket and it’s still Summer. White, white, white, white or cream.

I love black or charcoal gray & snake with salmon/coral - YUMMY!! Snake is my favorite with it!! :)

White, cream, the versatile dark blue denim, for a summery feel. It'd also work with the darker colors (brown, black, charcoal), but would give the jacket a different vibe.

Thank you for your votes! I think this jacket may stay home. Need something for very hot weather but very professional. Can't dream I'd find slacks this weekend that fit perfectly in those shades so must switch gears.

I tried with a gray and the jacket seemed too warm and the gray too cool.
I have great brown slacks but it wasn't right - too matchy. Balck is not summery at all.

I will forage the closet with those suggestions in mind though.
