First can I just say I wasn't sure whether to link this post to todays blog as I'm not actually talking about the four patterns mentioned...

Anyway, I'm actually talking about florals, which I'm not normally much of a fan of, yet I saw this bag : http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk.....91,default,

Ever since I spotted it a few weeks ago I've been popping back to look at it and I'm rather taken with it. I think the black helps to take some of the sweetness off it and I really like the colours which would work with a fair bit of my wardrobe. So I may dip my toe and try a bit of floral. What do you think? Are there any trends which you are thinking of trying in a small dose?

It looks nice! Smaller accessories are a great way to add pattern or try one you're not sure about. I usually only use patterns/prints in scarves.

Love it. Reminds me of the Theory bag Anna has and Kelz just bought, but more ladylike. Very pretty.

i like this a lot! i agree the black trim makes it less "florally".
i also bought a floral bag this year, and like you, i'm not a floral person. in fact when i posted it, i called the post "so not me, i had to have it". its been a great addition to my wardrobe and it amps up all outfits. proving that sometimes it pays to step out of your comfort zone.

I love it. I think the simple structured shape and black trim take it out of the realm of feeling too girly/feminine or flowery. I could easily see this bag going well with a variety of outfit styles. I don't think you'll regret it if you choose to take the plunge and buy it.

Very pretty! I like the black frame, and the way the pattern is offset/cropped which both look contemporary to me. I also really like the detail of the print which shows a greater sensitivity to realism and natural forms than is often found in floral prints.

Yes Pil, they do the same bag with white and a slightly different floral design, but I was drawn to the black as I'm having a little bit of a fling with black these days
