Colour question for socks, of all things

Hi All,

This question may seem goofy, but there's a blind-guy rationale behind it.

When I buy socks, I far prefer to buy them all in one colour. This will prevent me from mismatching socks when I get dressed in the morning, and also greatly simplifies laundry as I don't have to recruit the help of a sighted person in order to sort them into light and dark loads.

I'm leaving for guide dog training in New Jersey on Saturday and will be buying new socks for the fall before I depart. What colour would you suggest they all be this season? In the past I have stuck with black, but I suspect that wouldn't get the YLF seal of approval while wearing things like the charcoal grey converse I bought the other day.

Thanks, girls. I'll likely be soliciting your advice on what to pack in the next couple of days. :)

Why not try charcoal grey Michelle if you will be mostly wearing your converse, however I think a black sock would look fine too.

I have black, grey and also a deep maroon colour for winter.

Do the socks get seen much? I usually only wear socks under boots or with converse. With converse I wear the small athletic kind in black. I wear dark brown microfiber socks but it does not really matter as they are not seen. I would stick with black or grey. I also buy all the same color!

I haven't heard socks mentioned much on YLF. I also go for the policy of buying them all in one colour - in my case black. I reckon you'd be fine sticking with that. If you have PPL they don't really appear much, as Jean said.
