Colors for Denim Dress in Indigo Wash

I just bought a nice denim shirtdress (at a yard sale! $3!). It's cap sleeve, but I plan on wearing it for winter with a 3/4 or long-sleeved top or blouse underneath. It's a very dark, inky blue wash--not quite black and not quite blue--a true indigo.

I tried it with a blouse in a bright print--a combo of orange, red and white--and that worked. It needs contrast--white, gray and black don't look right. I thought fuschia or tomato red, for starters. What other colors come to mind?

My first thought is orange, or cream, or cognac? Or, turquoise? Ohhh, pair it with some animal print - leopard maybe?! What about a nice burgandy/wine color? What fun!! :)

Yup, Lousie is right. You can go wild with color since that will go with anything.

Sounds like a great deal! Just don't wear it with any more denim ;)

Thanks for all the great ideas! Have to keep my eyes peeled for the right leopard-print top...And it's so cold here (too early!) that I may try wearing two dresses at once!
